Jennifer Sherwood
Adult Volunteer Coordinator
Jennifer grew up in the woods of Harriman State Park NY, and the dunes and beaches of Cape Cod MA. One of her favorite teenage jobs was leading trail rides on horseback through the dunes. Her practical side drove her to earn BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering at Drexel University. After 18 years of engineering, she now works with her husband at their land mobile radio business. Her life-long love of nature has brought her to volunteer at Briar Bush. As the Adult Volunteer Coordinator, she volunteers her time to encourage and involve all of BBNC’s volunteers. Since 2005, she has volunteered doing environmental education and outreach, habitat restoration, and bird surveying. She also volunteers with the Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council, several Abington School District environmental clubs, Pennypack Farm, Redeemer Valley Community Garden, COL Cub scouts and Boy scouts, and Wyncote Audubon Society.
