Become a Volunteer - Youth

Like most non-profit nature centers, Briar Bush could not accomplish its goals without the dedicated help of generous volunteers. Youth volunteers assist the staff by handling many jobs that are important but time consuming. At the same time, youths have the ability to learn and experience things unique to a small suburban nature center. Time spent volunteering can count towards school-required community service hours. Basic requirements for all our volunteers are a love of nature, dependability, and dedication.

Youths 12 years old and up can volunteer on their own; younger volunteers must be accompanied by a legal guardian (use family form.) Applications will be answered in order they are received. Volunteer positions are limited and may be filled for the whole school year or summer early on. If you are not contacted promptly but would still like to volunteer, please let us know so we can hold you application until an opening arises.
