With advancement programs from $7-$9 per scout, Briar Bush is an affordable way to fulfill requirements and electives. See the list below for options. Don't see the one you want? We may be able to create a program to fit your needs!

Eagle and Bronze Service Projects
: Award candidates or can find many project opportunities at Briar Bush that will help protect and restore our 12-acre sanctuary.  Past Eagle Scouts have built animal enclosures, performed habitat restoration, and have been key in developing our popular Nature Playscape.

Overnight Programs

Enjoy a special experience with your troop while learning about the nocturnal adaptations of local animals and humans too! Price includes live animal program, night hike with games and activities, evening snack and continental breakfast. Scouts sleep in the nature center's upstairs room, "The Treetops".
Time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 am
Cost: $30/child, 2 leaders free; $30/additional adult

Orienteering Course

Are your scouts experts at navigating by using a compass or would they like to learn this new skill?  Schedule this special program which includes instruction on compass navigation and real-life practice on Briar Bush's orienteering course.
