Woodland Walks - Members-Only Experience

Join Certified Forest Therapy Guide Heidi Malizia to experience autumn’s transformation and discover the beauty in letting go. Forest Therapy, or Shinrin-yoku, is a guided nature immersion that encourages you to unplug from everyday demands, slow your pace, awaken your senses, and simply be. Rather than a hike or naturalist walk, Forest Therapy is a mindful journey of gentle exploration and connection. Through simple sensory invitations and quiet reflection, you'll discover how time in nature can reduce stress, improve mood, and nurture a deeper sense of calm, belonging, and relationship with the natural world. No experience necessary, just a willingness to slow down and receive what the season has to offer. Every walk is unique; they unfold in their own way, shaped by the season, weather, landscape, group, and what the forest offers.

Cost: FREE for Briar Bush Members (Registration is required; link is below.)

Notes:

The program will take place outdoors, rain or shine.
- Please dress appropriately for the weather.
- You will be contacted in the case of cancellation due to extreme weather.
- Trail surfaces include asphalt (accessible), woodchips, gravel, compacted soil, exposed roots, and/or water bars. The trails may be sloped/uneven.
- You may be required to sit on the ground.
