The All Children Observing Real Nature (A.C.O.R.N.) program is a supplementary way of bringing environmental education and natural history concepts to students in grades K-6. A degreed naturalist provides students and teachers with hands-on exposure and extension on topics they are studying in the classroom. Briar Bush brings professionally written lessons to the classroom that incorporates artifacts, activities, games, and often taxidermy and live animals.

A.C.O.R.N. helps children understand and appreciate the local environment. It encourages a love of nature at an early age by bringing hands-on, activity-based lessons into your classrooms. A.C.O.R.N. also enhances your school district’s curriculum by meeting mandated environmental education goals and Pennsylvania State Standards. A.C.O.R.N. enriches your curriculum by being an integrated component of science, language arts, and social studies lessons.
