Barbara made an impression, coming around the Briar Bush drive in her station wagon- ready to do some necessary gardening. Barbara was an integral part of Briar Bush for close to half a century, doing much more than just planting and pruning. She was a leader of the fundraising committee to expand the original building. She was at times President and Development Director. She and husband George (Hank)continued their charge (1999) with the campaign, "Briar Bush for Tomorrow," that provided extensive upgrades to the building and grounds. Barbara's trademark daffodils were seen in support of Briar Bush's Feather Our Nest just two years ago. Barbara, we celebrate your brilliant, inspiring, passionate spirit – and know that you left a legacy that will continue to inspire and touch many.
